I don't update this blog as much as I would like.
And I would like to update it once per week at least
But a yearly update will have to suffice.
I found this link http://allthingsger.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/kirby-challange.html

And I had been doing a bit of inking some Kirby pencils, which was much fun.
So I thought I would give the challenge a go.
The only thing is the pencils by Jack are very vague and have less detail than others I have done,so a lot of guesswork was involved.
Also, that old master known as time is ticking away in the background.
The inking was fairly simple, the colouring and background not so simple.
I would not claim to have replicated Jack Kirby's early style, but I gave it my best shot.
It took me roughly eight or nine hours.
So this is for Ger's Kirby challenge.
Here are my inks over Jacks pencils,The figure at the back is not there because I inked that one digitally at first and I was happy with the results.
I printed out the pencils and inked them by hand with brush and pen.
Here are some I did just for fun some weeks ago.
There was a lot more detail in the pencilled artwork with these two, compared with the 'Foxhole' sketch.
Funnily, these only took about an hour and a half to do each of them.
